Christian Ceruti Appointed Chief Commercial And Development Officer Of Tarmac Aerosave
TARMAC Aerosave, an industrial group specializing in aircraft and engines storage, maintenance and recycling, appoints Christian Ceruti as Chief Commercial and Development Officer. With aircraft maintenance expertise recognized the world over, strong customer confidence and results that have enabled TARMAC Aerosave to grow strongly since he joined the company 10 years ago, Christian Ceruti took over as CCO on May 2. He succeeds Frédéric Denise, who has decided to take his career in a new direction.
One of the world’s leading aircraft transition specialists*
Christian Ceruti has over 30 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance. First at Air France KLM Engineering & Maintenance as Customer Support Manager, then as Sales Manager in charge of Europe; he then went on to head up Air France’s representation at Airbus.
He joined TARMAC Aerosave in 2014, enabling the group to expand its customer portfolio and range of services. His strong contribution was essential for the development and diversification of services to make TARMAC Aerosave a “one-stop-shop”. Initially an aircraft storage and recycling center, TARMAC Aerosave has considerably increased its share of aircraft maintenance and transition sales, to reach 85% of its business today.
Christian Ceruti benefits from an in-depth knowledge of airline operations and the challenges of fleet management, from the point of view of both operators and lessors. He maintains a close relationship with lessors, the main owners of the world’s fleet, and anticipates their needs in terms of future transitions, while enabling them to optimize storage through ancillary services.
Remain number one and attract new markets
Christian Ceruti’s appointment comes at a time of high demand for RTS (return to service) services. Due to tension on the supply chain and on raw material supplies for the new aircraft market, customers are requesting early release from storage. The technical teams then have to concentrate on these returns to service, while the sales teams prepare for the arrival of the next aircraft.
Christian Ceruti’s roadmap will require him to rationalize this flow, to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty, and to conclude new maintenance contracts, in a context of sustained air traffic.
Since 2007, TARMAC Aerosave has welcomed 1,560 aircraft at its three sites in Tarbes, Toulouse and Teruel, and returned 1,130 to flight, including 264 returned to service in the last 24 months.
“I’m proud to take on this new role. It won’t change my passion for this endearing and motivating sector. But it will enable me to take up new challenges to develop TARMAC Aerosave, a truly unique player in the aeronautical world, the only one now able to manage the entire life cycle of an aircraft. I’d like to thank Alexandre Brun for his confidence.” said Christian Ceruti.
