• The aircraft enables it to respond to the high level of demand in the summer months, as well as in connectivity between Europe and America.
Madrid, August 12, 2024.- Air Europa has just added a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to its fleet, with which it has already begun to provide service, mainly, on long-haul routes. The aircraft enables it to respond to the increase in demand registered in the summer months, as well as to the needs on other routes with high occupancy volumes. In this summer season, the company has increased frequencies on some of its main routes between Europe and America, also activating new destinations, such as Santiago de los Caballeros, in the Dominican Republic.
With this aircraft, the total number of Dreamliners that the airline already has rises to 26. Despite the delays that the market is experiencing on a global scale in the delivery of commercial aircraft, Air Europa continues to meet the forecasts established in its Strategic Plan. The company, which has an exclusive agreement with Boeing, has unified its fleet around models from this manufacturer. In addition to the Boeing 787s, there are also 27 Boeing 737-800 single-aisle aircraft available to the airline, which will soon be joined by its first Boeing 737 MAX.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the most modern and efficient model in its category. Thanks to its configuration and the elements with which it is manufactured, it is capable of reducing fuel consumption and emissions by up to 25%. Furthermore, its engines reduce noise impact by up to 60%, shortening the duration of some long-haul flights by up to 40 minutes. Furthermore, it is designed to provide a much more comfortable environment for passengers. It has windows that are 30% larger than usual, as well as more space in the cabin and a ventilation system that helps reduce fatigue on transoceanic trips, improving the user’s rest.
