Buenos Aires, November 4, 2024 – Flybondi, the largest private airline in Argentina, has entered into its first ACMI agreement with the Spanish airline AlbaStar for two Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft which will operate during the upcoming summer season. Under this agreement, AlbaStar will provide the aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance, while Flybondi will handle the operation and commercialization of flights.

This ACMI operation is historic in Argentina and is possible thanks to the recent deregulation package implemented by the government, which allows the use of foreign-registered aircraft and foreign crewmembers in domestic scheduled flights.

The first Boeing 737-800 NG arrived in Argentina last Saturday and the second will arrive soon. The aircraft will operate from November 2024 to March 2025. This will bring Flybondi’s total fleet to 17 aircraft, allowing to increase the frequency on its current route network and explore new destinations opportunities for the peak season.
