High-temperature dust formation in carbon-rich astrophysical environments

A high-power plasma torch was used to experimentally simulate the dust condensation process in carbon-rich stellar outflows. This approach holds promise for the quantitative characterization of dust composition and formation in diverse astrophysical settings.
